‘It’s a big job’: Longtime school superintendent’s assistant


Considering that 2009, Annette McTighe has served as administrative assistant to Nevada City Faculty District Superintendent Monica Daugherty. The two retired a few of months in the past.

McTighe’s job was broader and with wider influence on pupils than you could possibly think.

McTighe was initial employed at Nevada Metropolis Elementary.

Friends and colleagues inspired McTighe to use for her present position, citing her love of education and learning. Clearly, she got the position.

“I like this district,” she stated. “My children went by way of this district.”

She begun in 2008 as a volleyball mentor at 7 Hills.

“Schools are getting burdened for a whole lot of reasons, but I feel what tends to make us exceptional is we’re nestled in this article in Nevada Town with the pine trees and wonderful trails ideal in our backyard,” she reported. “Our sources are prosperous.
